CILENTO + BASILIKATA – today at 19.30pm ARTE broadcasts a culinary journey through the region of Buffalo

Whisperer and pasta magicians. A white figure of Christ of Maratea watches over the town in the center of the coastal strip, which belongs to the region of Basilicata. Reporter Emanuela Casentini leads the viewer directly to the local fancy food. In Maratea to the special Pasta of the Bartolomero sibling. They operate on the Gulf of Policastro a business for pasta, which their produce according to the recipes of their Grandmother.

A little further west you’ll find the Cilento. At the level Piena di Sele a “buffalo whisperer” spoiles his animals. Casentini meets him, Antonio Palmieri. He milks his animals, sonicated them with classical music and then sets forth the finest buffalo mozzarella.
The next Journey through Italy starts tomorrow, to the ABRUZZES, on 01 July, 19.30pm. The Abruzzes are wild and rugged. There still live bears and wolves in the wilderness. The stunning landscape offers spectacular images of an unknown in Italy, in which people with unusual occupations.
