He is thoroughly, firmly rooted in the soil of his ancestors, all farmers. Rudolf H. Buehler manages the Sonnenhof in the 14th generation. Since 1378 his family is located here, in Wolpertshausen, a village near Stuttgart, in Swabian Hall. They are Hohenlohe and no Swabia, free and independent farmers. Freedom and independency is very important to Rudolf Buehler. He likes to show it with wearing always a hat: “In the past, the peasants were serfs, only allowed to wear cappys. The hat was reserved for their Masters. The hat still stands for freedom and independency. I always wear a hat. It’s important to me!”
The spices to cook the meat more delightful refer the Hohenlohe from overseas. Buehler founded various projects with small farmers and indigenous people in very different parts of the world: Jungle Pepper from Kerala, paprika from Serbia and cloves from Zanzibar. Not only the producer group also local producers benefit with fair income and promising jobs. Mustards such as coriander come back from Hohenlohe. Together with the BESH farmers in 2004 Hohenlohe was proclaimed to Gentec–free zone. Yes, the Lord of Mohrenköpfle brought to bloom and grow in its valley and now in the region and in other parts of Germany. Wolpertshausen Area, Hohenlohe has become a dangerous region for connoisseurs, a paradise for humans and animals, almost too good to be true – but it is, and there is even international recognition. Two years ago, the Prince of Wales came over and looked interested in what the farmer had conjured a hat. In the wake of the Prince had the German Ökopapst the first hour, Professor Dr. Hartmut Vogtman, President of the German nature protection ring, he became a friend.
With “We’re tired” as a slogan he carts already in 2011 and again in January 2014, an entire horde of pigs to the German Parliament in Berlin. ‘He let the pigs out‘, they said. After all, the number of protesters is growing ever since. This year he calls the common breakfast in the market hall 9 in Berlin on again for a common struggle against the aggressive economic imperialism of the United States with TTIP, and against the industrialization of agriculture. 50000 demontrants were mobilized with Power for the farmer, twice as many as last year.
